We are providing the monthly service bound for East and South Africa with keeping a stable schedule over the years. Kobe, Nagoya, and Yokohama are regular ports in Japan and vessels cover major ports in Kenya, Tanzania, Mozanbique and South Africa, as well as ad-hoc calling at ports in Islands in the Indian Ocean. |

Q. Service frequency
One monthly sailing is operated to East and South Africa.
Q. Ports of loading and unloading
The main ports of loading are three Japanese ports: Kobe, Nagoya, and Yokohama.
The ports of unloading are Mombasa (Kenya), Dar Es Salaam (Tanzania), Maputo (Mozambique), Durban (South Africa), Richards Bay (South Africa), and Mahe (Seychelles Islands).
Q. Transit time
From Japan, transit runs about one month to East Africa and about 40 days to South Africa.

Q. Date of exchange rate used for currency conversion
We apply the exchange rate of T.T.S. one day prior to the vessel arrival at each loading port.
Q. Cargoes transported
We transport a broad range of cargoes such as steel products, construction machinery, vehicles, and sundry goods.
Q. Shipments from places other than Japan
As regards cargoes exceeding 1,000 metric tons, shipments from the Far East, such as China and South Korea, are accepted. Please don't hesitate to inquire.
Q. Shipments to Egypt and Morocco
NYK-Hinode's Europe Service sometimes visits North Africa. Please feel free to inquire about details.
Q. Shipments to West Africa
At present, NYK-Hinode has no plans to operate service to West Africa.
Q. Place where cargo for shipment is accepted
Cargoes are not accepted in advance. All cargoes, including sundry goods and secondhand vehicles, are accepted/delivered alongside vessels.
Q. Use of way bill
We do not handle way bills.
Q. Transport service to inland points
At present, we do not provide transport service to inland points in Africa.
Q. Shipment of containers
We only accept S.O.C. (Shipper's Own Container / 20-foot dry).
