The Oceania service consists of Australia Conventional service, and Multi purpose services for South Islands service (GBH) and Micronesia, and Papua New Guinea.

Australia is a resource-rich country with plenty of new business opportunities, and NYK-Hinode supports customers' new business chances through the use of vessels.
In the Australia service that we have taken over from NYK, we operate brand-new tweendeckers once a month.
On its outbound leg, the 14,000-dw/t vessel carries steel products from mill ports in Japan, as well as construction machinery and other general cargoes from Kobe, to the South East Australian ports of Brisbane, Newcastle, Geelong and Tasmania.
On its return trip to Japan, it imports wood products from Tasmania via Malaysia.

Q. Service frequency
One monthly sailing is provided in principle.

Q. Ports of loading and unloading
As for ports of loading, the steel-mill ports are located in Kimitsu, Tokai, Hirohata and Shikama, while the public port is Kobe.
Main ports of unloading are Brisbane, Newcastle and Geelong.

Q. Transit time
From the last port of Japan, transit times run about 12 days to the first port, Brisbane, about 15 days to Newcastle, and about 18 days to Geelong.

Q. Date of exchange rate used for currency conversion
We use the exchange rate in effect two days prior to the vessel's entry into port.
