Supported by the Japanese spinning industry, Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK Line) inaugurated the Bombay service - Japan's first full-scale regular long-haul shipping service - in 1893 jointly with the Indian raw-cotton dealer TATA. This service has now been taken over by NYK-Hinode's regular service. In view of India's rapid economic growth, NYK-Hinode is striving to develop its India service further with a frontier spirit while taking advantage of the "group synergy" of the NYK Group; we hope, through the actual conduct of business, to precisely respond to customers' needs and further enhance NYK's reputation as "strong in India". |

Q. Advantage of India Service
Our India Service makes full use of our experience and the know-how we have accumulated through decades of operation on the Indian route. Moreover, we can operate the service in cooperation with NYK Line (India), which maintains a far-flung service network throughout India. Thus, in addition to our services to customers in Japan, our staff members stationed in India provide elaborate services through strenuous on-the-spot efforts in the day-to-day conduct of business. We believe that all these things have contributed greatly to enhancing customer satisfaction.
